Wastegate MYTHS... from TURBOSMART

I went to HPC Glenmarie yesterday and got back earlier, RC Drifting is always best if enjoyed with close friends. Our tsuiso yesterday were as crazy as ever. Everybody improved a a lot! not to forget, faster!

My other focus now is on my real A31. :)

I learnt these yesterday. I said wow... i thought differently before. :)

TRUE OR FALSE
The more powerful the engine, the bigger the wastegate you need

False. This is one of the more popular misconceptions. A wastegate is possibly the only component in your whole engine package that can actually be made smaller as you increase your boost/horsepower output. Use this simple guide:

Big Turbo/Low Boost = Bigger Wastegate
Big Turbo/High Boost = Smaller Wastegate
Small Turbo/High Boost = Smaller Wastegate
Small Turbo/Low Boost = Bigger Wastegate

Wastegates don’t operate in high temperatures.

False. Contrary to the popular belief, external wastegates are usually mounted at the hottest part of the exhaust. It’s the place where all the exhaust gases meet, creating extra heat. This, combined with the late combustion of unburnt fuel (due to rich mixtures, retarded timing and high octane fuels) significantly raises the exhaust temperature.

Larger wastegate valve diameter = better flow.

True
sort of. While the valve diameter is without a doubt an important part of the flow rate, equally important, but often misunderstood, is the importance of the flow path. When comparing wastegates with similar valve size, it is important to have a balanced body/valve/spring combination that is designed to work together to allow for maximum boost control. All Turbosmart wastegates are designed with this in mind.

Leo Zainal had been put to sleep on 8th March 2011

In memories my dear Leo... :(

I'm in true sadness. My wife cried few times earlier today.
We have decided to put Leo Zainal to deep sleep due to his illness. He had caught a fungal effections called "Spora" and it is contagious to other cat and human if in serious phase.

Since last month or so, my cat Leo started to catch flu. We bring to vets at TTDI Jaya and we were told it is common flu. After 1 week +, the flu didn't stop and his nose were swollen. we were givenfew medications. after the 2-3 weeks, Leo was in the same state. We went again and were to told to give medications and isolate him from the others. today, early in the morning my wife asked me to try the Jabatan Veterinar Selangor at Seksyen 15. When we mention that Leo is under spora medications, they advised us to put him to sleep as nothing can be done. We were dissapointed hearing that. We went to the vets at Seksyen 13 and were advised the same. They gave options but with great risk. I'm thinking about my wife, my future child & my other 2 cats (Leona & Miss Kuyu). We decided to let him go...
Leo had been given to me by a friend. He was a normal breed but he was so special to my family. We had completed his vaccine program and expected him to be healthty and happy. Who knows this can happen. He is the our house attractions. No one forgets him.

He will always always in our heart as the fattest, smartest and cleanest cat ever.

We love you Leo Zainal.... We do

Rest In Peace...

CER D11 teaser hehehehe... part2

The main changes were at the revised absorbers and a little roll centre adjustments.
I was hoping for a real design change. Maybe it was maximised when they designed it back then. Thanks to Mr.Mura for the info :)
